twits in context, moving IP to the next level

Information has a dual nature, structure and streaming though long-standing practice has placed the emphasis largely on structure. Now thanks to Twitter, the world has a better understanding of the value of information streams. But to take Information Processing to the next level we need a balanced approach. Information is never just structure, nor is it ever just a stream.

Events always occur in a context/topic/rolon, and our information model needs to reflect that basic truth. So we define structures of contexts and each context records the events which are applied to it. This is the model we use for journals and applies as well to twits.

The twitter model remains a good one. Users should be able to follow the twits of other users, as well as doing keyword searches on twit tags. But users will be able to twit anywhere, not just in their home context. And a user should be able to follow multiple contexts, not just other users.
